Colts fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse. The Indianapolis Colts are all set and ready for their Week 4 match-up against the Oakland Raiders in their second home game of the season. Last week the Colts dispatched of the Atlanta Falcons by putting their most efficient and impressive offensive performance of the season thus far. This week, the Colts are a little banged up, but the team’s confidence, as well as the fan base’s, is continuing to rise with Frank Reich at the helm and a roster that continues to impress. This week the national question centers around winless teams and their potential to get to the playoffs. We’ll begin there this week before we get to the confidence being placed into the Colts from their fans.Let’s not beat around the bush and attempt to talk up the Miami Dolphins. They’re awful, and they have exactly zero chance at making the post season. The New York Jets aren’t far in front of them as the AFC East is clearly run by the New England Patriots, and the Buffalo Bills have begun their season 3-0 as well leaving very little hope for either of their chances at a playoff berth. While the Arizona Cardinals have been better than terrible with Kyler Murray under center, they still aren’t in a beneficial situation with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers clearly being better teams right now and actually playing like it.But, from here on out, it gets a little confusing for me.The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t very good right now, but with the Baltimore Ravens the only franchise showing real potential for their season, it felt like a bit of a coin-flip between them and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers don’t look so hot either https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Chester-Rogers-Jersey , which is why they are on this list as well, but nationally folks clearly have more faith in what they have to work with in spite of being without Ben Roethlisberger.I struggle to see why the Denver Broncos have gotten some love on this list either with Joe Flacco as their quarterback, but that may actually be a reason that they still came in second place to the Steelers despite having a very good defense on paper. This question was bound to be a shot in the dark with a bunch of winless teams. And though it’s possible for one of these teams to make that leap from winless to the postseason, none of these teams appear to be great candidates in the first place. Now on to the Colts. The Colts did take a noticeable dip after Andrew Luck retired, naturally. But, they took a slight shot even after winning their Week 2 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. That was odd, but the results after winning at home against the Falcons are not at all surprising. The Colts’ have officially bounced back in the eyes of their fan base, and with Jacoby Brissett looking like a franchise passer, it’s easy to see why.The fan base increased their confidence level quite a bit from 84 percent all the way up to 96 percent this week, and with another big victory at home, it’s reasonable to assume the confidence level could continue to rise in Indianapolis. In fact, the Colts right now, are sitting third among the other NFL franchises only behind the Kansas City Chiefs (obviously), and the 49ers, while sitting right above the Dallas Cowboys (95%).But what about the Colts’ Week 4 opponents?Well Antonio Morrison Jersey , as you can imagine, it’s not looking too hot for Raiders’ fans. Heading into this Sunday’s match-up the Raiders’ fan base took a massive dive down 33 percent from 58 percent to 25 percent. Needless to say, Gruden isn’t inspiring much love from the fans a year before they make their move to Las Vegas.Similarly, and just for fun let’s take a look at what their loss to the Colts in Week 3 did to the confidence level of Falcons’ fans.Yuck!!Unlike some of the other teams near the bottom of the barrel in terms of fan base confidence, the Falcons took a massive hit falling all the way down to 8 percent confidence — 32nd in the league — from 55 percent just one week ago. Granted, 55 percent isn’t great either, but to fall below the Washington Redskins, the New York Jets, and few others, that is undoubtedly a very sad place to be right now. The Colts have stumbled over the last two weeks, squeaking out a win against the Dolphins and coming out totally flat on offense against the Jaguars. Where a few weeks ago this was a team that was firing on all cylinders, the offense has been struggling to find its way. On the defensive side of the ball, the Colts had a nice effort and hopefully found some things to build on as they will head to Houston this week to play their most important game of the season against the Texans. Let’s take a look at the snap counts from this week and see if there is anything to be learned from them.Offense#PlayerPositionOffensive SnapsPercentDefensive SnapsPercentSpecial Teams SnapsPercent#PlayerPositionOffensive SnapsPercentDefensive SnapsPercentSpecial Teams SnapsPercentNotesChester Rogers got just 1 snap on offense. His play certainly hasn’t warranted more, but it is interesting to see Zach Pascal get 42 snaps and Rogers getting just 1. Given his less than stellar work as a return man, it seems as though Rogers is unlikely to be a part of this team in the future.Nyheim Hines led all the way for the running backs in snaps with 46. Marlon Mack had just 28. Hines has pretty commonly gotten more snaps than the other backs because of his abilities on passing downs. However Kenny Moore Color Rush Jersey , he outstripped Mack and Wilkins by too much here. This was a game where the Colts needed to run the ball more, and simply gave up on it too quickly.Eric Ebron played in 76% of the snaps, which continues to be about double his normal since the loss of Jack Doyle. It is becoming more obvious as Ebron plays more that his strengths lay in being used as a red zone weapon and a supplement to the rest of the offense, not as the primary tight end. The Colts had Erik Swoopeand Ryan Hewitt in on just 17 total snaps combined. The loss of Jack Doyle clearly changed how they use their personnel, moving them away from relying on as many instances of 2 and 3 tight end sets.Defense#PlayerPositionOffensive SnapsPercentDefensive SnapsPercentSpecial Teams SnapsPercent#PlayerPositionOffensive SnapsPercentDefensive SnapsPercentSpecial Teams SnapsPercentNotesYet again this week we saw Kemoko Turay’s role reduced to just 15 snaps. Tyquan Lewis getting healthy has really put a major dent in his role on the defense.Al Woods’ low level of snaps makes it very likely that we should expect to see Ballard investing a draft pick in an interior defensive lineman. He is older anyway, but his role has continued to be scaled back in favor of younger and faster guys. Nate Hairston has been relegated to only special teams. What a surprise after last season when he played so well. Matthew Adams had one of his best games, and was involved on defense a good bit more than his normal. It was certainly nice to see the rookie making an impact, despite a terrible penalty called on him.Malik Hooker was in on every single defensive snap, yet he was blanked on the stat sheet. While we know he is playing hurt and likely isn’t back to his former self after his ACL/MCL tear, this isn’t great. Scheme certainly plays a role, as this one isn’t really playing to his strengths. It is also not totally surprising given how the Jaguars threw the ball so short. Still, it is surprising that a player could be in on every snap and not have any statistical impact.Special Teams#PlayerPositionOffensive SnapsPercentDefensive SnapsPercentSpecial Teams SnapsPercent#PlayerPositionOffensive SnapsPercentDefensive SnapsPercentSpecial Teams SnapsPercent
